Join Michelle Sammartino, a social studies instructional specialist for Broward County Public Schools, for a presentation on the civic activism of Fort Lauderdale pioneer Ivy Stranahan. Explore Ivy’s role in the suffragette, temperance and Native American rights movements during the 20th century. The presentation will also discuss Ivy’s role in local politics. After the program, tours of the Historic Stranahan House Museum are available for two-for-one pricing at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
