Join the City of Fort Lauderdale for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Las Olas Boulevard Safety Improvements Community Investment Project. This project was implemented to improve safety for people walking, biking, and driving on Las Olas Boulevard and in the surrounding neighborhood. Project improvements include:

• Increasing traffic capacity and pedestrian safety on S.E. 15th Avenue between Broward Boulevard and Las Olas Boulevard.
• Reducing cut-through traffic in the Colee Hammock neighborhood by introducing traffic calming measures.
• A six-month safety improvements demonstration for people walking, biking, and driving on Las Olas Boulevard.

Guests are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, or use a rideshare service to attend the event.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the southeast corner of Tarpon Drive and E. Las Olas Blvd.
