The Broward College Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery will launch a new art exhibition, Eternal Dialogue with an opening reception on Thursday, March 1 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The exhibition will run through April 11, 2018.

The exhibit features Peace Cylinder, a collaborative work by artists Linda Behar and Raheleh Filsoofi. Behar, of Jewish heritage, and Filsoofi, of Iranian heritage, use their artistic partnership to tell two important stories from antiquity which have great relevance today – the Declaration of King Cyrus of Persia and the Book of Esther from the Bible. The project endeavors to bring diverse communities throughout the world together in conversation, promoting a message of peace, tolerance, and social acceptance by sharing what we hold in common.

Using a variety of art forms, including performance and installation, the artists direct the audience to ask questions about the images and text, and their meaning. The artists will perform at 7:00 p.m. during the opening reception, accompanied by musicians Susana Garcia Behar and Reza Filsoofi.

The Broward College Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery is located in Building 6 on the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus at 3501 SW Davie Rd., Davie, FL. Entrance to the gallery is free and open to the public. Hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., or by appointment.
