About Ft. Lauderdale Alumnae Panhellenic
The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is an umbrella organization for 26 international fraternities and sororities for women. The NPC consists of 4 million women at 655 college/university campuses and 4,500 local alumnae chapters in the United States and Canada. Each year, NPC-affiliated collegians and Alumnae donate more than $5 million to worthy causes, provide $2.8 million in scholarships to women and volunteer over 500,000 hours in their communities.
The Fort Lauderdale Alumnae Panhellenic held its first meeting on January 3, 1924. This year, our membership throughout Broward County represents 16 sororities.
Any woman who is a sorority Alumna from one of the 26 sororities affiliated with the NPC is welcome to attend our luncheon meetings even if her sorority does not have an active Alumnae Association. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Greek women in our group to encourage and support each other and give generously to our community, especially to the young college-bound women who will shape the future of our world.
