Cast your line at the 21st Annual Florida Classic Fishing Tournament. Anglers can join the CF Foundation in an afternoon of sun and spray as they compete to reel in the big one! The fishing tournament will feature giveaways, ticket raffles, food and drinks. All competitors must follow all IGFA rules. After the tournament, participants can take part in the Fishing Tournament Awards Reception from 6-8 p.m. at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, which will feature cocktails by Breakthru Beverage and hors d’oeuvres.
The captain’s meeting and angler registration, which includes angler gift package distribution, will take place Friday, November 18th starting at 5:30 p.m. On the day of the tournament, boats can leave and return from any inlet in between Government Cut and Lake Worth.
The Florida Classic Fishing Tournament is part of the 21st Annual Florida Classic sponsored by Ford, AT&T, BB&T and Breakthru Beverage. All proceeds from the fishing tournament will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Since the CF Foundation was established in 1955, aggressive investments in innovative research and comprehensive care have led to significantly increased lifespans for those affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Recent successes in drug development have led to exciting new opportunities in our quest to find a cure.
